New USA Hockey jerseys for 2010 Olympics

USA Hockey will unveil the three versions of the Nike Olympic jersey that its men's team will wear during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games on Monday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. in the NHL Rink at Seven Bridges Ice Arena.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they came up with, especially since there's a 3rd jersey. Unfortunately I dislike the Nike SWIFT jerseys even more than the RBK Edge, so I doubt I'll pick one up unless the design is so good it's a must have. Or the US wins the gold. :shock:

That rink is literally 5 minutes from me. I have no clue if the USA Olympic orientation camp is open to the public though.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. both Aug. 17 and Aug. 18. The practice schedule is below:

Monday, Aug. 17
Group 1 Practice -- 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Group 2 Practice -- 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 18
Group 2 Practice -- 10:05 a.m. - 11:05 a.m.
Group 1 Practice -- 11:20 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.

The design will probably be fine. But the Nike Swift replicas are BRUTAL and their authentics costs an arm&leg.

Not sure if I like the new pattern/texture on the maple leaf. Maybe something that just has to grow on you a bit.

First impression of the Canada jerseys is that I like them. Not sure about the texturing on the maple leaf but overall they look good.

The texturing on the Maple Leaf will probably go well with some of 2010 Olympic designs, but I can't see it being something they carry forward. Although I read somewhere recently that the IIHF only lets teams change their jerseys once every 2 years.

Not feeling the new jerseys at all. Looks like a bad imitation of the current jerseys. Stupid Olympic committees with stupid rules. Let's see how much people care about the Olympics without NHL players playing in them.

Just got back. The new jerseys are nice. The PA announcer said that the blue jerseys have many different design elements in on the jersey. I'm guessing they were sublimated into the red much like on Canada's jerseys because you couldn't tell from afar.

I assume the first two white jerseys are the 3rd/alt since they seem more of a throwback style than the white jerseys on the end.

Yeah the first two are are throwback/third and use regular material/cut. The rest are swifts. The dark jersey has a real cool shooting star on the shoulder that you can't really see from the picture.

I like the third/throwback & if they make them non-swift, that is even better.

I don't mind the new logo. I loved the old one but it's not bad. It's got a classic look to it. That 3rd is awesome too. I'll definitely grab one of those. Also, is that a patch on the upper chest of the 3rd jersey?

PuckDaddy is reporting that the texture effect on the navy jerseys is the same pattern used by Nike for the Beijing Olympics
